I love my Earth - Blog Action Day
Today bloggers around world are discussing about environment and earth in which we live in. Every nation around the world is concerned about and affected by global warming. Mis utilization and over utilization of the resources of earth has lead to global warming. In recent decades the world has witnessed massive industrialisation and developmental efforts without caring for nature and hurting mother nature to the maximum, which has ended up in global warming. Truly Mother Nature has Exhausted.
Recently there were some international discussion has been held to take measures to control global warming. I think those measures are still in the papers and no action has been taken with regard to that. There should be a collective effort of people from every stream of life irrespective of rich or poor, black or white to fight against global warming. As a nature lover i belive that we can make this world a better place to live.
Heaven is nowhere else it is here ‘ Our Earth ‘.

Me at St Joseph’s Cathedral Palayam
My first impression about the church is that it is truly a calm and quiet place within the city. This church is one of the oldest and the most popular church in trivandrum city commonly known as palayam pally in malayalam. I have been there several times with my wife. Just like all the christian churches in trivandrum this church also welcomes persons from all walks of life irrespective of caste, creed or religion. After praying in the church usually my mind gets calm down and will get a feeling that someone is there looking after me and my family.Â
Two weeks before i had gone there to give a neriyathu (a kerala style saree) to be placed infront of the Mother Mary’s Idol. The cloth was given as a sort of thanks giving from my wife. Yesterday when i reached the church and asked regarding the same to a church official he told me that it has been placed in the church for 4 days and given it to a poor family in the city. It was a great news for me that it has been given to a suffering person.

An Astrologer from Vaikom
Yesterday i got an unique opportunity to meet one eminent Astrologer from Vechur, Vaikom, Kerala. His name is Dr. A.H Subrahmanian Ph.D (Astro). M.A, I.A.S., providing astrological service at Sree Lakshmi Jyothishalayam. I was very much impressed by his perspective towards astrology and predictions. I met him while he was there in his wife’s house in Karamana Brahmin’s Street. As his wife is my wife’s friend, i had gone along with my wife to meet both of them.
I have talked with him for about an hour on different aspects of astrology and social issues. According to him astrology is basically a science and just like all other science if the input are correct output will be correct. He is having the opinion that most of the people are not able to produce accurate informations like a person’s date of birth, time of birth, zodiac signs etc and blames astrology for inaccurate predictions.
He also told me that he usually makes astrological predictions from him home in vaikom for about 4 hours a day from 9 am to 1.pm on token basis. Only eight persons are allowed tokens each day.
Before leaving their home his wife prabha has performed some rituals for we couples by giving us coconuts, a bit of blouse piece for my wife, a kumkuma cheppu and coins and blessed us for an auspicious life.
He told me that by evening he will be going back to vaikom by intercity train from trivandurm central and invited me to his home on coming december to visit kumarakom which is near by vaikom.
