Receive paypal money in India

Yesterday i received an amount from my paypal account. I have got the money after waiting for more than 50 days. I was supposed to receive a check from paypal which i have requested from paypal. According to my transaction reports with paypal the check has been issued from paypal. The check has not reached me even after 50 days. Thanks to the great service offered by Indian Postal Service. I have been to the my near by post office several time to enquire about the check. As i don’t have any US Bank Account requesting a check from paypal was the only option.

After this long wait for the check i checked out another option to get my money from paypal. Xoom.com has helped me to get my paypal money. Xoom is a company which provide service to send and receive money worldwide. what i have done is, I have transfered the amount to xoom through their website on last sunday. After some initial processing xoom has deposited the amount directly on my State Bank of Travancore Account. It took 3 days to complete the transaction. Charges to send money through xoom is little bit higher when compared to requesting a check directly from Paypal. Anyway i have got my money in indian rupees. Thanks to Xoom and Paypal.

Today Paypal has introduced a feature to add an indian bank account to paypal. This will help to transfer the amount directly from paypal to an Indian Bank Account by giving a minimal transaction fees. Are you excited? Now what you have to do login to paypal account enter you bank account details, transfer you amount and enjoy. Please check with paypal for more details.
