Search Deep - Search Invisible Web
A article which i read in a malayalam magazine has given an insight into the use of search engines and invisible web. Accroding to the article there are two ways to get information from the web. Out of two, one is using surface web and the other from deep web.
The commonly used search engines like google, yahoo, msn etc are able to collect information only from the surface web. Surface web is comprised of those websites which search engines are allowed to crawl or index. Every time when a search engine crawls or spiders a website new information on the website is collected. As per the article the information thus collected by the search engines is much less when compared to the information on the deep web or invisible web.
The major search engines find web pages by traversing from one link to another which are located in the web pages. Most of the time these search engines are unable to find data located in the databases and in files other than HTML. There are some search engines available on the net which helps to find the content from the invisible web or deep web.
Here are a list of those websites.
