I love Me

Loving yourself can be difficult when you have demotivating and negative messages hanging around in your subconscious mind.  Most of these messages might have secure a place during childhood, but their effects can be far reaching and long term adverse effects!  Did you know that you are still very much influenced by the things your parents and others said to you years before?

When someone told you that you are not up to the mark, you might have believed them.  When someone told you that you are worthless, you believed them.  When someone told you that you were not vigilant or learning weired or disabled, you believed them.  And you still believe them to this day – even if you’re not consciously aware of these underlying thoughts and misbeliefs.

If you are traversing throught this type of tragic situation, you will definitely thinking to get rid of this.
Yes it is possible for you to overcome this old messages and replace them with novice, self motivating and empowering messages? Here i list some tips for your self development, start:

1)Romance yourself - Start loving yourself. Think about the last love affair you had. At the beginning you and your partner probably dedicated a lot of time, caring, attention and affection to each other, right?  You felt passionate and swept away by the beauty of your partner and he/she probably felt the same about you.  One of the best ways to learn to love yourself is to enter into a similar kind of situation – with yourself!  Treat yourself like a royal person. Do things that make you pleasant. Try Hug yourself. Talk sweetly to yourself. Buy yourself new things. Spend quality time with yourself simply because you deserve to the full extend.

2)Try to think about your existing thoughts and beliefs. You may suspect you have old, resourceless messages playing around in your mind but still be unsure about what they are exactly.  In order to explore the beliefs that are holding you back, you may need to go for an exploration. Begin exploring your existing thoughts by writing in a personal blog or a journal.  Give yourself soem queries like these:  “My earliest memory of feeling stupid was . . .”  “My mother always made me feel . . .”  “My father always treated me like . . .” etc. The idea is to think of an earlier time in your life and see if you can discover when and where your demotivating beliefs started off. Then, challenge those misbeliefs. Are they really true and still alive? Were they ever right?  Decide what you want to be made true, and begin to replace the old belief by focusing more on your new, resourceful and improved beliefs.

3)Think of your good qualities -  When you have low self-esteem, you tend to keep focusing on the things that are “wrong with you,” and dismissing the things that you have going for you.  Start to turn this around by emphasizing the good qualities and encouraging yourself in your self-talk.  When you have performed well in some thing, congratulate yourself!  Say things like, “Wow!! Great!!, I’m really proud of myself for doing that.  It wasn’t easy, but I put forward my efforts through the rough spots and got the best out of you.”  You can also make a point of simply giving yourself positive self-talk daily.  Recite affirmations like these:  “I am a valuable and worthy person.  I have a lot to do in this world.  I am talented and resourceful.” The more you do it, the more you will come to believe the same and secure a place in your subconscious mind!
