Konchiravila Bhagavathy - Devi Temple - Trivandrum

This years festival at konchiravila bhagavathy temple has started yesterday. The festival has started with excellent display of fireworks. Inaugural ceremony at the temple premises has been attended by MLA Sivan Kutty, renowned cine director Rajasenan, Actress Manga Mahesh, Konchiravila Pappan etc. The dignitaries who has attended the function has been felicitated by the festival committee of the temple.

Yesterday when i reached the temple along with my wife there was fireworks going on and the inaugural function was yet to be started. This temple is decades old one with lots of devotees coming each year. This temple is located about 2 km away from the world famous Attukal Temple. Starting yesterday, for the coming 10 days there will be different cultural programs organized in the temple premises. The festival will be ending with pongala, that will be organized on the 10 of this month.

On reaching there we had purchase a garland made of ‘Arali’ flower and offered it to Konchiravila Amma. Inside the temple i have seen people crowded and rushing to get temple ‘prasadam’. My basic nature is that i dont like to rush to get a thing what ever it is. So i has’t gone to get the prasadam. I am person who believes that god is in every one’s mind and god watches all of us so there is no need to create a havoc to get the prasadam and i used to get rid of these. Dont think that i don’t belive in god. I am a true beliver.
