Global Economic Recession - Indian Economy

Global economic recession is one of the hot discussion among friends in my office today. As most of my friends are weak in economics all of them are wondering what exactly is happening. Most of the people like us dont have any clue what is going on the world economy and in indian economy.

In the recent days we have seen the decrese of values in india rupees. Today 1 dollar is about 48.5 rupees which is about 8 to 9 ruppes increase in about a month and a half. Most of my collegues have the opinion that the it will touch 50 rupees in the near future. Before writing this post and while talking with my friends, i also have not much idea on this point but I searched many finance related websites on internet and get the reasons behind this depreciation of Rupee against dollar. One of the reason behind this situation is increased demand for dollars due to an increase in oil prices. Many economists considers this as the prime reason.

As a result of increase in oil prices foreign exchange is flowing from India in the form of dollars. Another reason what economists suggests is that more people have sold the shares in the indian share market than they bought in the recent weeks. This has added to the fall of sensex to lower points. About 3 months back sensex was somewhere around the mark of 17000 to 18000 points. But now sensex points, the indicator of indian business and economy has fallen to 10000. This is a clear indicator that indian economy is facing problems. As a result of all these issues many companies has laid off their staffs, the number of tourists inflow to india has come down, companies has cut down compensations and perks etc, government and other private companies are reluctant in starting new ventures and starting new projects etc.

Is this economic scenario leading us to alarming situation? What do you think? Share your thoughts on this topic.

Our country was also hit hard by the Economic Recession. At least we are seeing some signs of economic recovery now. I hope that we could recover soon from this recession.

I think we are also seeing some signs of recovery from the Economic Recession. Of course, we have no idea of how long it will take to completely recover, but some say it’s going to be longer than for the other recessions in decades. I also scanned an article yesterday that said business owners need a new set of tactics to do well during recovery.
