61st Indian Independence Day

61st indian independece day 61st Indian Independence DayToday is August 15th and India is celebrating its 61st independence day. Just like every year functions has been organized in the state capitals of the country. Prime minister has addressed the function which organized in the red fort, New Delhi amidst tight security.

To be frank india is fast developing and indian economics is getting strengthened as the days goes by. But i think that there are lots of problem still left behind with regard to common man. Lots of people are still under the poverty line. A percentage of people living in the metros might have high standard of living but lots of people in other parts of india are yet to receive basic facilities like electricity, water supply and better roads and transportation facilities. I believe that one of the main reason for this is corruption prevailing in india. As per the surveys conducted india tops the chart with level of corruption for years.

On every independece day minister in state levels and in the central ministry used to give brand new promises to the people to make their life better. Are these promises fulfilled in the due course. People know that any way there will be new promises to be heard after another 365 days so this one gets old. In india promises are made by authorised and responsible persons but usually they are not met because of the corruption, adverse political scenario and the communal differences revailing in the state.

Another thing that needs the attention of the people is that, this is the only day in which we think about those great leaders who have bought independence to India. After independence day we purposefully discard the teachings and their sacrifice of these leaders. But we remember them only when there are political meetings, during these meetings a photo of these leaders will be kept or print posters with their pictures and tell their teachings.

Lets hope for the best for india. I would like to wish a happy independence day for all indians and their families and hope for a better future for india and for the world
