Onam and my cousins marraige
Thiruonam wishes to all Keralites around the world.
Today is thiruonam or the second day of onam. Thiruonam is being celebrated for four days which are Onnam onam or uthradam, Thiruonam, Munnam onam or avittam and Nalam onam or chathayam. Years ago onam was celebrated for around 28 days in kerala. Now it has become four days of celebrations and one week of tourism week celebrations organized by Government of Kerala.
For the time being onam feast is being prepared in homes of kerala. Traditionally prepared feast is composed of 6 currys, side dishes and payasams is common during onam and typical hindu marriages in kerala.
Yesterday it was uthradam and my cousins marrriages. My cousin Mr Abilash got married to Thushara. The custom of ‘Thali Kettu’ was organised in Aattukal Temple of trivnadrum. After the Thali Kettu function the couples has gone to chembaka auditorium in Aryasala, Trivandrum to meet the relatives and friends. The marraige has been held according to saiva vellala customs. Later in the afternoon Mr and Mrs Abilash has gone to Abilash’s home near enikkara.
I wish Mr and Mrs Abilash a happy and prosperous life.
