Indoor and Outdoor Planters

I do love plants especially indoor and bonsai plants. I love to care them and place in indoors to decorate my home. Whenever there is a show or and exhibition regarding plants especially indoor plants i used to visit the same and buy my favorite ones for my home. Earlier there were only planters made out of mud which is used to kept indoors and had only one type of oval design. But now a days the the design and make of planters has also been revolutionized. There are elegant designs of planters available in the market which are made not only of mud but also of metals, porcelain and plastic. As i love indoor plants i used to keep a close watch at the different type of planters.

I am truly amazed by the range of quality residential and commercial planters offered by www.planterixchange.com. The widest selection of indoor planters and outdoor planters are there being displayed in the website in all shapes, designs and colors. One can choose a design which suits a particular living or commercial space. If you are looking for commercial or residential planters visit the website to find your’s.

Mango and Honey Exhibition - Trivandrum

A unique fest organized by kerala’s agriculture department is going on in trivandrum. I think this is for the first time this one of a kind festival is being organized in the state which showcases different types and varieties of mangos. The fest is going on in Chandra sekharan nair stadium. I am truly amazed by the diversity of mangoes. More than 160 varieties of mangoes are there. Each and every mango species is different in some way or the other. The mangoes differs in attributes like size, smell, taste, amount of fiber content, place of origin etc.

The second section of fest features different mouth watering varieties of food products prepared with mango like mango pickles, mango in honey, mango halwa, cake made out of mango, pastry made out of mango. More varities are mangos are displayed in the second section of the fest along with information center by farm information bureau,a kerala government department

In the third section stall and information center is arranged which tells more about honey and honey production. This stall will be interesting one for those who want to know more about on how pure honey is made and take look at different type of nests for honey bees. Some equipments are being showcased which are used to extract natural honey. Along with the information center for honey bee breeding and making honey a stall is organized which sells natural honey with quality sign of agmark. I have bought a small pouch of honey costing 5 rupees.

On the exit of mango festival venue, a stall is there where we can purchase about 10 varieties of mangos. The mangos are avialble from 30 rupees a kilo gram to 100 rupeees a kilogram. I have bought half a kilogram of alphonso variety. It cost me about 50 rupees. The mango is a tasty one having a light yellowish color with some green patches. Some where I have read that alphonso mango is the king of mangos. Is it true.

If you know more about mangos and mango fest feel free to say your opinion as a comment.

Kovalam - season is not over

Kovalam is still vibrant and alive with tourists from across the world. The tourism season is almost over in kerala but kovalam still has got lots of visitors especially from outside india. Currently local tourists are much less in kovalam. These numerous foreign tourists suggests that kovalam has secured a significant position in the international tourism map.

Yesterday i reached kovalam at around 7 in the evening. I was expecting foreign tourists over there as the tourism season was almost over. But i found lots of tourists still hanging around enjoying the beauty of kovalam. As it was evening most of them were having food in different restaurant located on the sea side. Me along with my wife took a long walk in the sandy beaches of kovalam. While walking in kovalam i thought about why kovalam has got more tourists when compared to any other beaches in kerala. Is there any thing special only for kovalam. But one thing is sure that the sand in the kovalam beach is unique and waves has got a soothing effect. This might be the reason why people are getting more attracted to kovalam.

After a long walk in the sandy beaches and having a paper cup of peanuts we drove back from the sandy beaches of kovalam. It is true that whenever i have been to kovalam, the mind will be cool and tension free. I think that is what i expect from kovalam and that is the beauty of it.
