Varkeys Trivandrum, Hot Dosa stall, thattukada
Day before yesterday evening me and my wife had got out of the house to buy some fast food. We we planning to buy some non veg curry and some other side dishes. On passing through thycud to mettukada we found a small stall set up infront of varkeys who are selling hot fast food item. Being curious we have gone to the stall to find out what is happeining. The time was around 7.30 pm. I have seen that the vessels and pots where the food is kept is made out of mud to give a feeling of pure and natural food. When reached just beside the vessels there was some kind of a foul smell coming out of the food. Any way me and wife has ordered for 5 dosas and chicken thoran and went inside the house to buy some thing else from the shopping mall. We took about 10 to 15 minutes to select and purchase the products from the shop and we went pack and asked for the food items from the hot dosa stall. We found that the food items are still not packed. Even thought there was not much people to buy from the hot dosa stall, we had to wait for another 10 minutes to get our package which was priced at 52 rupees. On reaching home when we opened the packed we found that there was 5 dosas the butter chicken instead of chicken thoran. I would say that the hot dosa stall set up in front of varkeys super market, vazhuthacaud is not a better place to have fast food items.

Kerala Hartal and Fuel Price Hike
Today it is hartal organized both by LDF and BJP in kerala. Hartal is being organized to protest against fuel price hike by central government. Yesterday central government has hiked 5 rupees for petrol, 2 rupees for diesel and 50 rupees for LPG. This price is expected for the past two weeks.
I think this price hike will be a big blow to common man’s life. As kerala is a consumer state keralites will be most affected as most of the essential commodities are coming from outside the state. In accordance with the fuel price hike the price of essential commodities and commodities which are coming from other states will also increase. This fuel price hike is a sign of more miserable days in the list for the common man. It is a fact that which ever party is organizing the hartal common man’s issues will not be solved.
In this recent past there was an exorbitant increase in the price of essential commodities in the state. This fuel price hike has added more problems for the layman.
I am asking is this the only option left with central government to take control of the debts accumulating with petroleum companies. According to economic experts there are some other ways to avoid this price hike. But i am not sure and dont know much about those thoughts by the experts. I think our prime minister, who is an eminent economist and our finance minister is help less in solving country’s financial crisis.
It is true that hartal will badly affect business in kerala and common man’s life but it is unavoidable in these type of situations. Anyway i am wishing you a happy hartal for you in kerala. Enjoy this unexpected hartal.
