In my blog i used to write posts on much talked about movies in the media and share interviews with various artists and directors especially from the malayalam film industry. Earlier, a year back i have discussed about an interview with a renowned film director / script writer in my blog. In that interview the director has talked about some tips on script writing. After that post is published in my blog, it have received some visitors asking for tips on script writing.
I think that script writing is not a thing which can be easily taught or learned. It is completey a creative work and less can be taught. I believe that the most of the eminent script writers in malayalam film industry does had enough training on film and script writing and some of them dont had any relationship with the film industry when they started script writing. How they become famous and the best script writers is just because of their creativity, unique thoughts and ofcourse born talent.
some institutes especially private film training institutes claim that they can provide training on script writing. All these institutes has been providing training for the enrolled students for the past several years and no eminent script writers has been born out of their so called script writing training. Inorder to have a good cinema script one should have a story thread. Many private film training institutes and reality tv shows claim that they can produce the best acting / singing / dancing talents for the industry but on institute or any tv channel has never claimed that they have introduced a script writing genius in the industry.
What i meant to say the script writing is more creative and no training can bring out if a persons creative thinking is of a low profile. What do you think can a script writing genius made out of training?
