For the last two years i am a proud owner of Hero Honda Splender Plus Bike. I have purchased the bike from cheran automobiles, niramankara, trivandrum. For the first couple of services i have opted cheran automobiles. Yesterday i got my bike serviced in an authorised hero honda service station in trivandrum. This service station named J.S Service Center is located in Mettukada juction, near to trivandrum music college.
I was really surprised on hearing the service charge. The service center has charged me about 1100 rupees. Actually i had asked to tighten the chain, change the engine oil and a water service. The service adviser has told me that there was some problem with the engine because of that engine oil is getting burned. He told me that he has changed some sort of rings in the engine and that is the reason for this high charge.
Anyway i don’t think that there is that much work to get me charged for 1000 rupees. I suspect he has tried to fool me. He has warned me that he suspect more problem with the engine and if the problem with the engine is there then the entire engine kit has to be replaced. As i am not well versed with automobile mechanics i am not sure what he has done and what is happening to my bike.
Do you feel that this much will be charged for the works i have mentioned? I am thinking of not to give my bike to J.S service centre from now onwards. Can you suggest a better Hero Honda Service Centre in Trivandrum. It would be helpful for me.

Ayyapan is also good, if it has nothing to do with the engine.
