Since then the demand for this low cost chappathis is one the rise. Day by day more and more people are buying chapattis from poojapura central prison chappathy counter. These chappathy lovers have always been demanding for some curry especially chicken curry along with chappathy. The chappathy lovers long standing desire for chicken curry along with chappatis has been fulfilled by the prison authorities. The chicken curry is given only for those who are buying chappathis from the counter and one person can buy only two chicken currys at a time.
Chappathy and chicken curry lovers in trivandrum has throng the prison premises from morning itself. There was a long line of people who wanted to buy the chicken sale during the first sales / launch in the counter. After the inauguration the chicken curry counter has been opened for the public. Almost all the people who has gathered there bought 2 chicken curries which is the per day each person limit.
The chappathy and chicken curry will be in delivered in both from Poojapura central jail food counter and from attakulangara sub jail food counter. Jail authorities has told that one can get 5 chappathis and a vegetable curry for just Rs. 20. It was a happy day for lots of food lovers in trivandrum and this venture by jail authories has become a great sucess.
